The Design of Water Conserving Landscapes
Amman, January 10 and 11, 2002
This two-day interactive workshop dealt with the principles and practices of creating water-conserving landscapes. It examined design issues such as site design, site zoning, and hydro-zoning. The course addressed plants that are suitable and unsuitable for use in water conserving landscapes. In addition, the course examined issues such as water harvesting as well as hardscaping materials and mulches.
The course was organized by the CSBE in association with the University of Arizona in Tucson and WEPIA (Water Efficiency and Public Information for Action) program. Additional support for this workshop was provided by the American Center and A. R. Jardaneh and Sons.
