The National Gallery of Fine Arts Park

This 7500 sq.m. park was constructed during the late-1950s and is one of Amman's older parks. The park had suffered from poor maintenance and neglect until it was rehabilitated in 2005 by the Center for the Study of the Built Environment (CSBE) in cooperation with a number of other institutions as a model water-conserving park and an integral part of the neighboring Jordan National Gallery of Fine Arts. The rehabilitated park also included outdoor sculpture displays, children's play areas, and a performance exhibition space.

As the case is with many of Amman's public areas, the park is unfortunately now again suffering from neglect, vandalism, littering, and poor maintenance.

حديقة المتحف الوطني للفنون الجميلة

تبلغ مساحة هذه الحديقة ٧٥٠٠ م٢ وهي من أقدم الحدائق العامة في عمّان إذ بنيت في نهاية الخمسينات من القرن الماضي. كانت الحديقة تعاني من الإهمال وضعف المتابعة إلى أن قام مركز دراسات البيئة المبنية بإعادة تأهيلها في عام ٢٠٠٥ بالتعاون مع عدد من المؤسسات لتكون حديقة ندرة مائية نموذجية ولتصبح جزءاً من المتحف الوطني للفنون الجميلة. وشمل مشروع إعادة تأهيل الحديقة أيضاً مساحات لللعب ومساحات لعرض المنحوتات ومساحة لتقديم العروض المسرحية

وللأسف، وكما هو حال العديد من المساحات العامة في عمّان، تعاني الحديقة اليوم من الإهمال والتخريب وضعف متابعة النظافة والصيانة
