Pathway in Rainbow Street, Jabal Amman

This pathway is located at the very end of Rainbow Street in Jabal Amman, within a residential area containing some of Amman’s older houses. It forms a quiet and intimate urban pocket marked by stone walls and vines. The Talhouni House is located along the path’s western side, and the Soap House, which used to be occupied by members of the Asfour family, islocated along its eastern side. Both houses are believed to date to the 1930s. The more recent of the two adjacent al-Mufti houses, which dates to about 1950, is located at the entrance of the path, along its western side, but the entrance to the house is located along Rainbow Street rather than along the path. The Mango House, which dates to the late 1940s, is located opposite the path’s entrance, across Rainbow Street.

ممر في شارع الرينبو في جبل عمّان

يقع هذا الممر في نهاية شارع الرينبو في جبل عمان، في منطقة سكنية تحتوي على مجموعة من بيوت عمّان القديمة. وتحد الممر الهادئ جدران حجرية تغطيها النباتات. ويحد الممر منزل عائلة التلهوني من الغرب وبيت الصابون - الذي كان يسكنه أفراد من عائلة عصفور - من الشرق، ويعتقد أن البيتين بنيا في الثلاثينات من القرن العشرين. ويحد مدخل الممر من الغرب المنزل الأحدث من بين منزليْ عائلة المفتي المتجاورين الذي يعود إلى حوالي 1950، ولكن مدخله يقع في واجهة شارع الرينبو وليس في واجهة الممر. ويقع منزل عائلة منكو، الذي يعود إلى أواخر الأربعينات، مقابل مدخل الممر على الجهة الأخرى من شارع الرينبو
