The King Hussein Park
The King Hussein Park is located in the Dabuq area in Amman along King Abdullah II Street. It was established in 2005 as Amman’s largest public park. It covers an area of 62 hectares and includes recreational spaces, playgrounds, cultural exhibitions, sports facilities, and green spaces. The King Hussein Mosque, the Royal Automobile Museum, and the Children's Museum are also located in the park. The park features green spaces that cover almost 28 hectares, but a considerable part of park area consists of built-up and hardscaped areas that include terraces, pathways, and piazzas.
The park is located within an increasingly built up area of the city that houses commercial, office, medical, and residential uses. The park is also a venue for public activities, including cultural festivals and sports events.
متنزه الملك حسين
يقع متنزه الملك حسين في منطقة دابوق في عمّان بمحاذاة شارع الملك عبد الله الثاني، وقد أُنشأ في عام 2005 ليكون أكبر متنزه عام في العاصمة. ويغطي المتنزه مساحة 62 هكتاراً ويحتوي على أماكن ترفيهية وملاعب ومعارض ثقافية ومرافق رياضية ومساحات خضراء. كما يحتوي أيضاً على مسجد الملك حسين ومتحف السيارات الملكي ومتحف الأطفال. وتغطي المساحات الخضراء في المتنزه ما يقارب 28 هكتاراً، ولكن جزءاً كبيراً منه يتكون من مناطق مبنية وأسطح مرصوفة من شرفات وممرات وساحات مبلّطة.
يقع المتنزه ضمن منطقة حيوية متسارعة النمو، وتحيط به أبنية سكنية وتجارية ومكتبية وطبية. وتقام في المتنزه أيضاً أنشطة عامة متعددة من مهرجانات ثقافية وأحداث رياضية.
